What we validate
We test the path — not just the product.
A strong product can still fail if the first buyer, local packaging, tool environment, distribution route or conversion path is wrong.
Pre-launch + live validation
We distinguish what can be reasoned about before launch from what must be learned from real market behavior.
Who is the first buyer?
A specific user with a specific problem, not “Chinese consumers” in general.
What should enter first?
Full product, workshop, diagnostic, trial, module or a smaller first offer.
What breaks in China?
Tools, examples, platform assumptions, collaboration workflows, pricing and delivery. Use the localization dependency guide to map the first risks.
Where will attention come from?
Content, creators, livestream, private traffic, direct enterprise outreach or another route. Compare those routes in the guide to reaching Chinese buyers without operating every channel.
Do users actually respond?
Watch behavior, inquiries, qualified conversations, trial interest and repeated questions.
Will anyone pay?
When appropriate and authorized, use a bounded paid test to separate curiosity from real demand. Before interpreting a failed checkout, follow the access, payment and delivery test path.
Decision boundary
Assessment answers what can be known before execution. Validation answers what only the market can tell us.
That distinction is why we do not stop at a report when the evidence supports a real test.
